Copies of source material that could not be placed in specific family history series in the collection. Included are enlarged photocopies of photographs of a letter in French that Dr Patricia McMagh's mother had taken of a piece of satin cut from the petticoat of one of Napoleon's officers on St Helena, and which had been kept by the Africana Museum in Johannesburg. The letter, which is difficult to decipher, apparently describes the conditions under which they were kept on St Helena.
