Transcriptions of source material, photographs and notes. The transcriptions of letters including those of Louisa Liesching Rubridge were made by Dr Patricia McMagh from originals in the possession of descendants. Other names which occur include Anna Stumbles, Emily Stoll, Fritz Liesching and Chrissy Watermeyer, as well as the farm Wellwood, originally Platrug, outside Graaff-Reinet.
