Photographs gathered for the publication of the book and exhibition, largely of individuals who in various ways participated in the struggle against the Apartheid regime in South Africa. These physical photographs include some contextual information on the reverse or on slips of paper included in the plastic sleeves. The photographs were donated by families, some copies came from Museum Africa, some were published in the Rand Daily Mail.
