"Elsie Valbooi, born in 1901, was a fluent N|uu speaker and a member of the San Council of Elders. In 1997 she gave the Northern Cape - South Africa's largest province - its motto: Sa ||a !aĩsi 'uĩsi (“We go to a better life”). She passed away in 2002. This poster provides biographic information of Elsie Vaalbooi's life with greater contextual information.
