Transcript of interview with Moshe Natas of Johannesburg. Born in Lithuania in 1904. Father was a rabbi. Father first came to South Africa in 1904 where he was a rabbi in Stellenbosch; he returned to Lithuania in 1908, returning to South Africa in 1925 and gradually bringing other members of the family out. He was a rabbi in Ceres. Interviewee immigrated in 1930. Interviewee was a teacher, becoming a director of adult education. Served in World War II. Lived in Cape Town till 1942, thereafter in Johannesburg. Interviewer: Madge Clingman.
