Transcript of interview with Sarah Kimmel of Pretoria. Born Sarah Levenstein in Hopetown (Cape) in 1905. Parents immigrated from Latvia. Father was a businessman. After his death in 1909 mother ran a general dealer's store. Interviewee was a typist and bookkeeper. She lived in Bloemfontein from 1929 to 1977 before settling permanently in Pretoria.
