Transcript of interview with Eva Green (born Gelman) of Johannesburg. Born in England in 1895. Parents were born in Poland. Father was a brickmaker. Family immigrated to Zimbabwe (then Southern Rhodesia) in 1898 and lived in Bulawayo until 1914. Interviewee returned to England where she lived until 1918. After marriage she lived in Johannesburg from 1918 to 1930 and Durban from 1930 to 1980. Interviewee was a teacher and also involved in trade unions. Interviewer: Veda Hawell.
