Transcript of interview with Max Gottschalk of Cape Town. Born in Latvia in 1905 and immigrated to South Africa in 1928. Father was involved in fisheries. Interviewee lived in Upington, Franschhoek and Hex River before moving to Cape Town in 1955. He was a shop owner and farmer. Interviewer: Eva Horwitz.
