Transcript of interview with David Decktor of Cape Town. Born in Latvia in 1902. Immigrated to South Africa in 1925. Parents had a dairy farm in Lithuania before moving to Penzer (Penza), Russia in 1914 where they had a bakery until 1918. Mr Decktor was, in turn, a shop owner, a furniture manufacturer and a communal worker and active in various Jewish organisations. Interviewer: Eva Horwitz.
