Transcript of interview with Nita Steinberg (born Nita Myers) of Cape Town. Born in Cape Town in 1905. Father was born in Birmingham, England, and mother in Cape Town. Father immigrated to South Africa about 1890. He established a jewellery shop and later became a stockbroker. Interviewee went to boarding school in England. First husband also had a jewellery business. Second husband had a position with the Chamber of Mines, and they lived in Johannesburg. Interviewer: Ruth Jowell.
