Transcript of interview with Emanuel Sher of Cape Town. Born in Calvinia, Cape, in 1912. Parents immigrated to South Africa from Lithuania. Father was a speculator and shopkeeper. Interviewee was a hide and skin exporter. Lived in Calvinia and in Middelpost, before settling permanently in Cape Town from 1937. Interviewer: Eva Horwitz.
