Transcript of interview with Barney Sher of Cape Town. Born in Namaqualand in 1901. Parents immigrated to South Africa from Lithuania. Father was a shopkeeper. Interviewee lived in several places, including Williston, Johannesburg and the Transkei before settling permanently in Cape Town in 1975. His occupation included articled clerk, indent agent, farmer and wholesaler. Interviewer: Eva Horwitz.
