Transcript of interview with Eda Schapira of Cape Town. Born in Lithuania in 1904. Immigrated to South Africa with her family in 1905. Parents were shopkeepers. Interviewee was also a shopkeeper, living in Aberdeen, Cape, until 1920, in Port Elizabeth from 1920 to 1931, in Mossel Bay from 1931 to 1965, and settling permanently in Cape Town in 1965.
