Transcript of interview with Sonny Sacks of Cape Town. Born in Lithuania in 1908. Father was a trader and shopkeeper. Immigrated to South Africa in 1924. Interviewee was a shop assistant in Calvinia, Cape Town and Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) until 1931, when he settled permanently in Cape Town as a shop keeper until 1936, and then owning a garage until 1964.
