Transcript of interview with Etta Rappoport of Cape Town. Born in Keidan, Lithuania, in 1906. Father was a printer and Hebrew teacher. Family were living in the Ukraine at the time of the Russian revolution in 1917, and this is described. Husband immigrated to South Africa in 1930 and she and their child followed in 1936. They lived briefly in Johannesburg before moving to Cape Town. Interviewee was a pharmacist by training; in South Africa she was a confectioner and had a stamp business. Interviewer: Ilana Korber.
