Transcript of interview with Rose Rabie of Cape Town. Born in Cape Town in 1901. Parents were born in Lithuania and immigrated to South Africa. Father was a hotel bar-keeper. Interviewee lived in Cape Town until 1927, then on a farm in the Bonnievale district from 1927 to 1946, and settled permanently in Cape Town from 1946. She was a shorthand typist.
