Transcript of interview with Minnie Philips of Cape Town. Born in Lithuania in 1905. Family immigrated to South Africa in 1908. Father farmed and had a general dealer's shop. Lived near Moorreesburg until 1910, then in Malmesbury until 1929, in Jagersfontein, Free State, from 1929 to 1932, and settled permanently in Cape Town from 1932. Interviewee helped husband in a hosiery and underwear shop in Cape Town. Interviewer: Ruth Jowell.
