Transcript of interview with Anita Marcus of Cape Town. Born Anita Stodel in Johannesburg in 1897. Father was born in England and mother in Holland. Parents immigrated to South Africa in 1891. Father was an impresario, running the Tivoli Music Hall in Cape Town and, later, the Alhambra bioscope. He was a member of the Cape Town City Council in 1913 and both parents were involved in several Jewish associations. Interviewer: L Robinson.
