Transcript of interview with Arthur Lewin of Cape Town. Born in Oudtshoorn in 1904. Parents were born in Germany and immigrated to South Africa about 1898. Father was an ostrich feather merchant. Interviewee was an attorney in Cape Town until the Second World War, in which he served as an army intelligence officer. After the war he became a liquor merchant in Cape Town. He was active in Jewish, civic, political and commercial affairs. Interviewer: Eva Horwitz.
