Parents were born in Lithuania and father immigrated to South Africa in 1902, mother and daughter following in 1905. Father was a shopkeeper. Lived in Johannesburg and Potchefstroom before settling permanently in Cape Town in 1965. He was a pharmacist. Interviewer: Eva Horwitz.
