Transcript of interview with Joseph Joffe of Cape Town. Born in Lithuania in 1907. Immigrated to South Africa in 1926. Father was a produce dealer. Interviewee was involved in several business ventures, including owning butcheries and general stores, in Vryburg, Johannesburg, Lichtenburg, Pretoria and Bloemfontein, before coming to Cape Town in 1969, where he was a property administrator and stock exchange investor.
