Transcript of interview with Herbert Horwitz of Cape Town. Born in Upington, Northern Cape, in 1903. Parents immigrated to South Africa from Germany. Father was a butcher. Interviewee lived in Namibia (then South West Africa) from 1912 to 1974, before settling permanently in South Africa. He was a shop manager in various places and a business owner in Windhoek from 1944 to 1974. Interviewer: Eva Horwitz.
