Transcript of interview with Betty Herman of Cape Town. Born in 1895 in Lithuania, and immigrated to South Africa in 1918. Father was a shopkeeper, who immigrated to Johannesburg prior to bringing the rest of the family to South Africa. Interviewee lived in Darling for some years after her marriage.
