Scope and content
The collection consists of a speech given by the Polish ambassador in 1994 to commemorate the South African Air Force pilots’ efforts to help the Polish resistance in Warsaw during the war. This copy of the speech was sent to Ms Davies' husband J. G. Davies who was a part of the squadron who airlifted aid to the Warsaw resistance. The collection also contains nine photographs from an unidentified German labour camp as well as a photo of a German-built fort in South West Africa (Namibia).
