Arthur Selberg, his wife, Elsbeth and their son, Erwin immigrated to South Africa in the late 1930s to escape Nazi persecution in Germany. They were followed by Arthur’s parents Salmon and Bertha Selberg, who lost most of their possessions when the ship they were travelling on was impounded by the Germans. The collection contains Judaica, publications and ephemera, most of which has been handed down from Salmon and Bertha Selberg.
