Field epaulettes of Bernhard Schragenheim who belonged to the 1st Machine Gun Company, Regiment 48, 5th Reserve Division, German Armed Force. The epaulettes denoting the rank of Bernhard Schragenheim that were worn during battle on the front. The epaulettes are on permanent display in the 'Fighting for the Fatherland' display in the Cape Town Holocaust Centre permanent exhibition.
