The obverse image depicts infantrymen of Regiment 48, 5th Reserve Battalion, in the trenches of the old Skrobowa Line prior a storm. The reverse includes a note by Bernhard Schragenheim, listing members of the 1st Company of Regiment 48, including, including Lieutenant Schmidt, Deputy Sergeant Major Frohnest, and Lieutenant Kopo. Taken sometime between July and November 1916.
