The obverse image depicts a sports gathering of the 1st Battalion, Reserve Infantry Regiment 48, June 1916, during their standby period. The reverse includes a note from Bernhard Schragenheim. Sixth from the right in the front row is the Regiment Commander Colonel von Lützow, and eighth from the right is Major General von Diringshofen.
