Members of the Sixth South African Armed Division, including Julian pictured far right, seated second row from the front, Cadenabbia, Lake Como, Italy, 12-16 June 1945. This photograph was taken during a course conducted while they were waiting to be demobilised. The course for Jewish Studies was coordinated for troops by Sam Ernst, the Jewish chaplain of the 6th Armoured Division.
