Mounted portrait photograph of Max Geis and Josepha Geis (nee Stein), circa 1880s. Max Geis was born in the 1850s in Germany. Josepha was born on 26 February 1865 in Tokay, Hungary. Records show that Josepha was deported to Theresienstadt on 17 August 1942, and later transported to Treblinka on 19 September 1942, where she was murdered. Max's fate is unknown.
