Scope and content

The Jewish Rundschau was a popular Jewish weekly newspaper, published between 1902 and 1938, when it was banned by the Nazis. Printed one month after the Nazis came to power on 1 April, 1933, the headline of this paper declares 'Tragt ihn mit Stolz, den gelben Fleck', 'Wear it with pride, the yellow spot', referencing the medieval symbol of the 'yellow spot' that was forcibly worn by Jews during the Middle Ages.
