Album containing photographs and newspaper clippings relating to the annual dinner dance of the UCT Geographical Society held on 17 August 1973, which was also a farewell function for Prof William Talbot, who was retiring as head of the Geography Department after 37 years in the Chair. Also contains correspondence with Christine Joelson, secretary of the Society, about the function and the award of the annual trophy to her; and an unidentified group photograph also dated 1973.
