An adjacent soft tissue lesion can be made out. The identity of the patient is known.

Original Annotation (back): "S/2421; 30.8.50. [patient name] X-Ray No 16516/50; Large hydatid of bone in the Rt. pelvis. The lower film was taken about 9/12 after the upper one and after a course of radiotherapy for a ? myeloma. By now the cortex was finally gone and a soft tissue [illegible] abscess is seen within the pelvis. This is well shown because the pelvic soft tissues have again formed an adventitia"
