History
This collection was donated to the Kaplan Centre for Jewish Studies and Research by the Wynberg Hebrew Congregation in 2006 on the completion of the congregation’s centenary publication, and in the light of the synagogue’s imminent closure. The congregation, first established in 1905, held its last service on the 12th of August 2006. With its closure, the congregation merged with the Claremont Hebrew Congregation.
