Wolf Miller came to South Africa from Latvia in 1899 at the age of 20 and went to live with his brother in Stellenbosch, where he joined him in 1902 as a partner in his general dealership.
Wolf Miller was a founder member of the Strand-Somerset West Zionist Society in 1904 and was chairman of the Society for many years. He was President of the Somerset West Hebrew Congregation, and during his life also served on the local School Board and as president of the Chamber of Commerce.,lb/>In 1904, he was married to Mary Efroiken [Afroiken?], who came to South Africa from Lithuania in 1902. She died in 1954. They had five sons and one daughter.
