Biographical history

Margaret Whiting Spilhaus was a children's writer and artist. Her daughter, Patricia Ashby Spilhaus (1912-1969) was an architect and librarian. Her younger daughter, Marian Robertson (1922-2004), was a radio journalist, freelance researcher, and historian.
