The Monica Wilson Festschrift Papers were donated to the University of Cape Town Libraries in May 1976, by Michael G. Whisson and Martin West and number 235 items.
The collection consists of preliminary documents and correspondence regarding the publication of 'Religion and Social change in Southern Africa' - anthropological essays in honour of Monica Wilson edited by M.G. Whisson and M. West as well as typescript drafts and proofs of the festschrift. There are no restrictions on the use of the collection, but permission must first be obtained from the University Librarian.
