Collection donated to the University of Cape Town by the Trustees of the artist’s estate and the South African Institute of Race Relations, the main beneficiaries of her estate. The collection is permanently housed in the Manuscripts & Archives Department of the University Libraries. Oil pastel sketches and mixed media sketches (“notes”) on paper, dating from the early (1950s) to the 1990s. Few of the works are signed or dated and those which are were considered finished works by the artist. Almost all these sketches were taken further into larger oil paintings either on canvas or masonite.
