Hydatid lower thigh

Five opaque cysts, with guide rule, ranging in size from 1.5 to 3cm in diameter, evidently removed from the thigh. The patient is female, 33 years old. The identity of the patient is known.

Hydatid cyst of lung

A rectangular museum bottle, with guide rule, containing a cyst measuring 8 inches (20cm) in maximum diameter, stuffed with cotton wool. The lesion was evidently removed from the lung.

Large hydatid

A specimen, a bisected kidney with a large encapsulated cystic mass occupying and expanding the superior pole, and a second cyst continuous with the kidney pelvis. The photograph is labelled 10.

Hydatid

A mounted and bottled specimen, being a rib bone with a swollen misshapen region which is extruding cystic capsule, and much cyst capsule material at the bottom of the jar.
