The Knaurs Konversations-Lexikon published in 1934 reflected the world view of the new Nazi regime, particularly its ideological fervour around the concepts of 'eugenics' and 'race hygiene'.

The translated definition for Eugenics: (Greek term) aspires and teaches the hereditary refinement of the human race (See racial hygiene.). Term influenced by Galton.
