Scope and content

1. - Portrait, unidentified of a clergyman, on a small rectangular piece of white tile.

2. - Deed of Transfer of a piece of land in Clanwilliam from John Ingram to Willem Anton Joseph Liesching and Adriaan Vincent Bergh, Oloff’s son, dated 6.1.1826. Includes notes of mortgages taken out in May 1827 and January 1832, both subsequently cancelled. Includes signatures of Lord Charles Somerset (on cover) and C.W. Zastron (Chief Clerk, Deeds Office).

3. - Deed of Transfer of his half share in the piece of land mentioned in the above item, by Willem Anton Joseph Liesching to Adriaan Vincent Bergh, Oloff’s son, dated 6.7.1832. Includes note of mortgage in July 1832, and the subsequent cancellation of that mortgage. The cover has been removed, and has split into sections, two of which (containing information about the contents of the Deed of Transfer and signed by C.W. Zastron, preserved with the document.

4. - The right-hand section of a folio sized diagram of a property belonging to Johannes Gerhardus Frieslich, dated 15.11.1892, and signed by Maitland Watermeyer, a civil servant.
