These are photocopies of papers by and about Reverend Alfred Philipp Bender, who served the Cape Town Hebrew Congregation from 1895 until his death in 1937. The original material comes from the old Jewish Museum, but the originals are not included in the Jewish Museum collection. It was donated to Manuscripts and Archives via the Kaplan Centre in 2009.
