History
ACDN was an initiative on the part of Western Cape arts and culture organisations to influence government policy at the national and provincial levels. During its brief life ACDN made representation on policy to Parliament and lobbied aggressively for the establishment of a representative arts and culture task force for the National Party led western Cape Government. ACDN lost momentum and several of its key members shifted allegiance to the short-lived Ikapa Arts Trust.
